Can I upgrade my current PC?

Most Windows machines produced in the last 3 years will support Windows
11. However, there are a few requirements that need to be met before you
can upgrade your current PC:

Windows 11 Hardware Specification:

• Processor must be 1GHz or higher with 2 or more cores

• Memory capacity must be at least 4GB RAM (8GB or more is
preferable to avoid stuttering & lag)

• Hard drive minimum 64GB available for installation

• Graphics must be compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM2.0
driver installed

• Motherboard firmware needs to be UEFI and Secure Boot capable

• Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 must be installed:
a. If your CPU does not feature TPM 2.0, you will be required to
purchase a TPM 2.0 module and install it on your motherboard
b. Most CPUs sold in the past few years have a version of the TPM
embedded in the chip
c.If your PC is under 3 years you should be able to upgrade, but
you may need to enable the TPM setting in your motherboard
BIOS. Please refer to your manufacturer’s website/ manual

• UEFI BIOS and secure boot capable – you must have installed your
current Windows 10 operating system via UEFI. If you installed via
legacy BIOS, Windows 11 may not install.
